UHF, 1989 Orion Pictures. Available on DVD and VHS. Starring Weird Al Yankovic, and the ever so lovely Victoria Jackson. Anyway on to the pictures. I visited the following filming locations(in the order I found them): Heading west on I-44, get off at Peoria, go left(heading south) 1 mile to 61st ave. Go through the light, the Warehouse market is 1 block past the light on the left side of the street.

The front of the building has been completely revamped, but you can see the odd brick extension to the left of the frame the trees behind the front of the building match up perfectly.

From Spatula city, leave by turning right. At 61st St. go right to Lewis Ave. Turn right on Lewis, past 66th St. to 6655 S. Lewis which is on the left. Turn in and whala, the Channel 8 headquarters building.

From Channel 8, leave by turning right, go to 51st St, go right, and head towards Memorial Drive(approx 4 miles). At Memorial, Turn left. Go 1/4 mile to 47th street. On the left is "Ernie Miller Pontiac". The used car lot is where they filmed "Crazy Eddie's used cars" where he threatens to club a baby seal to death if nobody comes down and makes him a deal on used car within the next hour.

From Ernie Miller, turn left and head towards 15th St, turn left, and approx 1/2 mile down the road is the Burger World on the right hand side. The "Burger World" was actually a Harden's Hamburgers, as is evidenced by the logo on Al's hat and the logo which you can see on the coupon I got when I visited town.

As it turns out, Harden's closed this location and moved from what I've been able to find out. It's reopening soon as a Jethro's Burgers and stuff.

From the burger world, turn right, go down to Sheridan, turn right and go 1 mile to 11th street. Turn left and go to Elgin(4 to 5 miles) past the cemetary, go under the highway and the home depot will be on your right. Turn left at the stoplight at 11th st. Raoul's place is on the left, and some free parking is straight ahead.

From Raoul's Wild Kingdom, turn left(north) on Elgin and head 4 or 5 blocks north to Archer. Turn left onto Archer and the karate school is at 114 W. Archer on the left. Obviously you can see that this building has gone downhill and the trees have grown tremendously. The giveaway that this is the correct building is the frosted glass area which matches the shot in the movie. It's next to impossible to see the 2nd story windows with the trees grown up the way they are.

From the karate school, I took Boulder south which runs you right up to the church at 913 S. Boulder. Free parking is across the street.

Finally, we come to the acutal U62 station. The original building is gone, replaced by a tiny white shed. However, the road leading to the broadcast tower and the parking lot are still there, although a bit worse for wear since filming.

That was the best shot I could pull as a still. Honestly, you need to see the movie to get a visual understanding of where everything was. Anyway, this is what it looks like today.
